Day 177 A little talk, a little work, and a little play.

While the guys did a little bit of repair work around the condo, my friend Alisha and I got to work on the china cabinet and hang about half of the big pictures.  We also had a blast catching up, and watching Abishai do his own thing.  It's hard to work when a cute toddler is showing off.  And I finished up the day working on our bedroom some more.  We'll need to go out to where some of our stuff is stored and get an inventory of it, and bring some of it back, soon, because I'm missing a couple of things.  No biggie.  The boys played together this evening for almost an hr tackling each other, and giggling, while passing a beach ball back and forth.

The funny moment came at dinner when Benaiah let out this weird loud belch.  Jared called it a "boiling lava lake bubble burp", at which Benaiah couldn't stop guffawing and snorting over.  Then I started laughing, while trying to drink pop, and it went down the wrong way, making it even harder to swallow.  We laughed hard for at least 10 minutes.  Oh, and Abishai started in with his screech laugh as well.  It was hilarious!

Keturah spent the day with the girl cousins again, keeping them company while Aaron and Shauna worked on a house project for her mom. Not sure what they were up to though.  Probably coloring, Legos, and reading books for the library summer reading program.  Oh, and bike riding.

Because Justin is using the black chair in his room, we decided to put some of my parents' things, and the pictures we got at their funerals, on this part of the mantle.  I'm going to add their favorite coffee mugs, too.

Miss Alisha taught Abishai a few more signs today!  This one is "please."

This is so quaint!

Alisha capture this beauty!

This was taken yesterday, but these girls love to read!

Reading and snuggling.

Day 176 Oh, some of the things we have missed!

Yes! Cheap food! Alid's! Lots of fast food options!  My favorite massage therapist!  Cheap gluten free foods! Cheap milk! Cheap diapers! Ah.....

Anyway, yes, we went grocery shopping at Aldi's, which, for Canadian friends, is kind of like No Frills only they don't carry major brands.  But you do put a quarter into the cart to use it and you do bag your own groceries.  I can be in and out of Aldi's with a huge load in like 30 minutes because there's no guesswork as to which brand is cheapest and there's no need for coupons.  Plus, they have their newer gluten free line PLUS lots of meat like breakfast sausage don't contain wheat flour as their fillers!  Wahoo for me!  Yes, this is a highlight of my day.

Plus I had a great massage by my previous massage therapist (if you need a massage, I can give you her phone number!) Then, Keturah wanted to come see her room, and play with Abishai tonight, so we made sure she got to do that.

I haven't unpacked anything today, but tomorrow I good friend and I should get something done.  I'm trying to think about what the kids did, but they mostly played video games.  I guess Keturah did go to the library with Grandma and the cousins so they could get more reading done for the points and rewards system for the summer reading program.  Justin beat his new video game already.  Benaiah read his history book and watched youtube and played Counterstrike, and finished the day with mowing Grandpa's yard.  Typical day.  At least it was a bit cooler, 84 degrees, with a nice breeze, too.

We're loving our new bar stools and eating at our peninsula!

Salad greens with strawberries, raisins, and mandarin oranges.

Justin with his Minecraft Story game and Keturah watching.

These two have missed each other.

Keturah's turn in the ball pit.

Look, Mom, I'm so big I can't jump on the bed anymore!

Giving big sister a lecture.  This was before he climbed up on the countertop to do a dance.  He is meant for the stage I think like Big Brother Benaiah.

Day 175 Slow day.

Well, there was a huge thunderstorm last night, with multiple lightning flashes but not so many rumbles of thunder.  Weird! The wind was blowing hard though and many lost power.  Ours flickered.  Benaiah said he woke up to it.  Justin and Abishai slept right through.  I had a hard time falling asleep anyway, and then the storm woke me up, so, I had to have a nap today.  I've been moving kind of slow the last couple of days.  I did unpack about 5 boxes today and I think I have my desk a bit more organized.  I still have a couple of boxes of things I should go through and purge that I didn't take the time to do while in Charlottetown regarding my desk.  I have a few more self contained "projects" as well to tackle, but nothing urgent.  Tomorrow is a busy one with an appointment for me and Jared has some errands.  There's also lots of business things to take care of like health insurance, life insurance, renters' insurance, car insurance.  (Why can't we just pay cash for things?) I'm working on getting back into couponing, switching my Facebook groups from PEI to IN (like playgroups, buy/sell/trade pages, etc)  Loads of digital clutter to work on.  But oh so tired.

What the boys do when Mommy doesn't feel good.

Abishai had to make sure the sword made it's sounds and lit up before he tapped Jared on his head.  Wild child.

Games, games, games.

Boys were up late because Justin had to take a nap from not hydrating properly and having a migraine.  We were outside in the garage for maybe 10 minutes.  We weren't meant to live in the South!

Day 174 Cousin fun in the sun!

Despite feeling sluggish, I did accomplish a little unpacking.  I started getting frustrated, because it's getting harder and harder to find places for stuff.  I feel like I should purge even more! But then I have to remind myself that our things were strewn across three floors in Charlottetown, and a lot of it was in storage and not used.  So, I need to use it, and mostly likely get rid of it if I don't.  Meanwhile, the girl cousins had a good day with Grandma, including a trip to the Children's Museum.  Then they had a grand time zipping up and down the driveway playing with Abishai and each other.  We only see the NOLA (New Orleans, Louisiana) crew once a year, so it's great when we do get to get together.  It was a tad cooler today, but still very humid.  Not my friend.

Keturah got two new huge Lego sets for her birthday.  One of them, they put together in New Orleans and the other one, they saved for rainy days like today.  It does take the girls a bit longer than Justin does when building one.

Aww, Keturah has a runny nose, so she snuggled up with Grandma while they watched a skit.  Yes, she does look a bit like Grandma.

The girl cousins in front of the merry go round at the Children's Museum.

Big hugs after 5 weeks of not seeing each other.  They really did miss each other a ton!

My girl sporting a new hat, a new shirt, and a new bike!

Lots of fun bubbles!

Abishai didn't understand how to blow the bubbles, so he ate them instead.

Socks stayed in the front yard while the kids played, until, a person walking a dog came through.  Then, off he went to make friends!  Justin misses his dog!

Bike riding time, or not!

Daddy and Keturah took a ride around the block.  Abishai wanted to greet them when they got back.

Justin's new go to color is lime green.  He also owns a pair of running shoes that have lime green stripes.

Yup, a Johnson profile.  Abishai with Uncle Aaron.

This kid can climb!  We have to push all the chairs in at the table or he's up on the table.  Nothing is outside his reach!  He got on top of his garage like this all by himself AND got down all by himself.

Twins, again, playing the video games.  Father, son, bonding time I guess.  Now that we found the power cord to the new TV.  It was hidden in a box that I hadn't packed but someone had left for us.  So now, we have the big TV in the living room.  Yeah!

Day 173 Gorgeous, easy going day!

I've lost my "got to get it all done yesterday" mojo, but, that's ok, it's getting done piece by piece.  Today was more closets and the rest of the bathroom stuff.  Done! Plus, Justin and Keturah are home! Yeah! So, we had to work on getting their stuff integrated into the rest of the house.  Plus the normal laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dealing with a toddler, and going to the playground! And they played lots of video games together, too.  Keturah opted to stay with the cousins a bit longer, but I'm sure she'll want to see her own room soon enough.  She's going to be disappointed that she has to share with Abishai, but it's just the way it has to be sometimes.

These are pics from the last couple of days of the middles with Grandma.

Gator watching.

Splash pad fun!

The girls plus Justin's feet, lol.
