Why Lilla Rose?

Long hair, short hair, baby fine hair.  That's what I have had all my life.  No curls or waves here that help barrettes and claws stay in my hair.  Then, after seeing a Lilla Rose consultant advertise on one of my favorite bloggers' posts several times, I thought I would take the plunge, and buy one.  It was a bit more expensive than the hair bling I had bought at various drugstores, but it boosted a 90 day guarantee.  I watched their sizing video that is easily accessible on their website or YouTube and was able to guess the right size for me right away.  Their flagship, the Flexiclip, has a unique design where the beads are threaded on flexible, but durable piano wire, and the pin is attached to the body of the clip so you never lose it!  There are 7 sizes, so they are very customizable, and the size is indicated on each clip.  I bought a basic medium clip that was all silver so that it would go with everything.  I still have that clip 6 years later and use it occasionally.

When the Flexiclip arrived, I wasn't sure I'd be able to figure out because I do not know how to do any fancy hairstyles.  I used the simple ponytail uptwist I had used for years with those big claws and to do this day I still use that style most days!  I tried it on my dry hair and it held!  Usually I had to put my hair up in a claw immediately after washing it so it would stay and it wouldn't stay the whole day.  Not with the Flexiclip.  It stayed all day and all night!  Yes, I can sleep with them in and they don't bother me!  Wearing earrings to bed bother me more than a flexiclip.  Also, it keeps all my hair up and secure instead of using an elastic band where the wispy hairs would fall out.

Over the next couple of years, I was quite busy with homeschooling and moving to Canada, but I did buy one or two more when Lilla Rose had a sale.  Then I realized that I was wearing a flexiclip all the time because they were so comfortable and so pretty.  I don't wear a lot of other jewelry but I can't leave the house without one or two flexis with me.  They are my bling!  Bling that won't get pulled off by kids like necklaces, or rings you have to take off to wash dishes, or earrings that make my ears itch a little (I only got earrings 2 years ago, and I'm still not quite used to them).  So, just for fun I decided to become a consultant so I could get the awesome discount and try my hand at direct sales again.

Over the years, I've had a few part-time jobs, and enjoyed most of them.  I've had great bosses and great hours.  But in this season of life, I need(ed) even more freedom to earn money on the side when and where I can.  And that's what I thought when I joined, I'd love to be able to pay for our homeschool books through the business.  I joined an incredible team, full of awesome Christian ladies (and gents) that is full of positive energy and prayers.  We support each other through life's seasons, no matter how little or much we sell.  I have two uplines I adore, one is an introvert that has to continually remember to put herself out there and talk to people, and one who want stay quiet!  The talkative one sends out encouraging videos daily, not just on how to sell, but how to grow yourself as a person.  She interacts with everyone in her downline.  Our big boss, John Dorsey, the founder did email me once and is a fun loving guy (he has a wife and 3 daughters) who continues to make training phone calls directly to us stylists. Although I haven't built up my business because of my life circumstances (new baby/toddler, moving, homeschooling, and teenagers!), I am confident I have the tools to do what I can when I can.
