Year 2, Day 214: Driving, driving, driving!

We were in the car for 2 1/2 hrs today! We drove down to the cheaper theater (25 minutes away) for the last $1 movie, Angry Birds. There were some funny moments, but their liberal use of hip shaking and bare bottoms, plus one bird that only said OMG, ruined the movie for me.  Oh well, it happens.  But we won't be owning this one.  Then we had to drive 45 minutes to the gym where Keturah will be doing gymnastics starting next week.  We went so we could see the gym, fill out paperwork, and we actually bought some used leotards for her as well.  It's in an old fire house, which has no air conditioning, and has just the basic equipment that is well used.  But, it's perfect for Keturah.  And the price is right.  That drive normally will be 25 minutes, and I'm looking forward to listening to my podcasts on the drive, as well as read or having quiet time for the 1 hr she's in class.  It's in a small town that has this cute little, very walkable main street I can't wait to explore, even with the boys.

Then we drove back to town and went to the library, as well as other errands.  The kids were excited that it was so quiet because the other kids were in school.  When we finally got home, we were exhausted so we rested.  Abishai and Socks had spent the day with Grandma, so we had to wait until Abishai got up from his nap.  Then we walked down the street a bit from their house to pray with a 90 year old friend who is having heart surgery tomorrow.  Home again for a late(r) supper after Jared and Benaiah got home.  Benaiah spent the day at church rewiring a prop for future use.  Then we rearranged the garage to get the washing machine ready to be installed.  The bathroom is painted and waiting for some flooring and paneling and then re-installation of the mirror, sink and toilet.  So, the bookcase finally went into place as well!

While I folded laundry, and Benaiah played his crazy stupid (Counter Strike) game, the 3 younger and Jared played with a ball in the hallway and rough housed because Abishai was wired tonight.  Now it's finally quiet, but it took awhile to get everyone to settle down.

The bathroom is coming along quite nicely.

Abishai loves feeding the doggy!

Keturah made this "random guy with suspenders."

This one is Wonder Woman.

Dog's bark says "don't mess with my boy!"

These two were staring each other, big guy looking down and little guy looking up.  It was very cute.  But this is cute too because Abishai is holding the harmonica with just his teeth!

Mommy's little helper, line them out straight!

Trying to make a huge tire swing!

Capes!

Yes, Keturah has a ponytail in her hair.!

Yes, she looks like me. When she gets her hair cut really short, I'll just put half of her hair up in a pony tail.

"I finish (the job for Mommy)!"  Then I'll climb!

Always wrestling.

Hallway ball!
Monkey!

Gymnast!

A little trail that goes behind the middle school.

Queen Ann's lace?

Weeds can be beautiful.

Bunny hop!

"Ride neigh neigh!"
