Year 2, Day 272: Doing Too Much

Three busy days in a row, does not make a Mother's body happy, shall we say.  I was very tired today.  I just needed to lie down and stretch out my back instead of letting gravity compress. So I did.  In Jared's office of course.  After church this morning, I had a Lilla Rose event to do, but my heart wasn't quite in it because it was a Sunday and I was just not fully energized and ready to engage.  We gave a way a few brochures and catalogs and made one sale.  But, we did learn how to deal with wind and such (see our display below).  Jared helped set up and then took the youngest two home for naps.  Grandma brought the boys later after they served at church and had lunch.  Then, after I got back, we all headed to church again.

And when I got there, a family friend from Illinois who has beaten cancer twice now and is just a tad older than Jared and I, was there, because her grandson was being dedicated today.  What a pleasant surprise!  Elizabeth is very sweet and said we'll get together next time she visits, as they were going to make the drive back to Illinois tonight.  For them, it's about 4 1/2 hr trip including stops.  Elizabeth and her family attends/attended the first church that Gary preached at.  She grew up, got married, had two kids, got divorced and now remarried.  One of her children, Heather, is the wife of our upper elementary minister, Chad.  So, Gary and Leah have known her children for all of her children's lives.  It was awesome to hear how God has taken care of Elizabeth through her cancers.  She also helps drive a grain truck for her husband, who is a farmer, which is crazy to think of her being weak and sick and still driving a semi truck full of grain to be shipped off.  Anyway, it was a sweet reunion.

And now I've tidied up a bit from the weekend, prepped some lessons, write a blog, watch part of a movie, and bed time.  Busy week with activities and appointments.  Ugh.  But fall break is coming!

Fun! Can you tell which one was bought in the states and which one was bought in Europe?  I love how some things are very similar but most of it looks different because of the different languages and way they calculate fats and calories and sugars.

Same brand, different countries.

I guess the Boy loves his dog.

We parked so close to Grandma's car that the cars are practically kissing!

Little man made a stink all the way into church this morning saying, "No Betsy! No Betsy!"  He didn't want to go to the nursery.  So, we didn't push it, and sat just outside the sanctuary so we could with his squirreliness without bothering others.  I suspect that he just needed some Mommy and Daddy time since we were away for two days.  Daddy hasn't held him up like this in a year or so.

Sleepy much?  They grow up so fast, so why not ride it out and baby him a bit.

Daddy checking in asking if he wanted to go to class, and he did just as the prerecorded sermon was beginning.  I guess both preaching ministers were out of town this weekend.

Abishai checking out the cool that my friend brought for our Lilla Rose display.

Cutest 2 1/2 yr old on the planet!

We had to tape and/or lay everything down because of the pretty brisk breeze.  It was a small event at some girls' softball games/tournament close by.  Lots of other vendors from direct sales companies and 1/3 of them had handmade items for sale.  I bought a Christmas gift from one of them for Keturah.  It was from a Grandma who makes clothes for the 18 inch dolls.  Well made, just like my mom would have done.

Our little booth.

Perfect day!  A little brisk in the morning, but a high of 75 and partly cloudy for the high.  At least I can't complain that I hadn't enjoyed the weather today.  Hopefully we'll get some extra time before the Pokemon club to explore the park across the street from the Central Library and can enjoy the weather.

Making up their own game with spinny chairs.

Weee!!!  Round and round they go!

Abishai packed the green cube by himself to take with us tonight and then forgot it.  So, Jared went back to get it.  It looks like we've moved into the office with all our bags and toys strewn about.  But the office needs a blanket.  It's freezing in there!

"You can't see me!"  Oh yes we can, Boo!

"Hanging" from the bar.

"Go away, Mom.  My ball!"  Ok then!  The banners behind them were for an event showcasing mission trips and what you can do here and what you can do out there, too.

He knows how to play his own playlist.

Just passing the time waiting on the boys.

Brother against brought.  Who's goin to win?  I didn't stay long enough to find out.

Sippy cup hoarder.
P.S. Keturah does have a head cold.  I think whatever was tickling Justin and I's throats, were either seasonal allergies or a minor head cold.  I'm thinking head cold, so we got out the meds and are running our essential oils, and eating lots of vitamin C fruit.  Hopefully, she'll get over it quickly and the rest of us don't get sick or sicker.  We will see!
