Day 101 Winter's Last Hurrah....We Hope!

It certainly hasn't been a very winter at all compared to the past couple of years, so we really have nothing to complain about.  The grass was turning green though and my flowers have started to grow.  But for then next two days, they are covered in this:

But because it really is spring, it started to melt immediately.

But of course, our little Canadian, who couldn't understand how one day he could run around on the porch in bare feet couldn't do the same thing today.

In fact, after his nap, when he had a full set of pj's on, he almost crawled over the threshold, sticking his fingers directly in the snow! And when I kept closing the door to prevent him from going further, he screamed bloody murder!  He wanted to go outside!  He didn't mind getting wet at all.  He just wanted freedom!

Daddy teased him a bunch by throwing snowballs at him while the door was open and the snowballs went clear across the dining room to the kitchen wall! Snow belongs outside, dear Husband.  But Abishai just wanted to play.  He may be only 14 months this week, but he can throw a terrible 2 tantrum like the best of them when he doesn't get his way.  We definitely have another go getter on our hands!
