Year 2, Day 124: Pack, Pack, Pack!

Another new friend came over today with her two young kids and between taking care of the kids, we accomplished a lot!  She stayed most of the day and we also had time to talk about homeschooling, too!  We worked on the kitchen and the board games.  I forgot that I had 5 large boxes worth of games!  Boxes that measure 2.5 FEET by 2.5 FEET.  That's a lot of games!

Abishai loved playing with the baby that came!  He kept saying, "Baby, baby, baby."  And everyone played with her to help keep her happy.  She was so sweet!  She has an older brother, too, and they all had fun playing board games and running around as well.

This blurry picture is a testament to how busy kids can be!

Hide, hide, hide!

Don't take my picture,Mom!

Benaiah is going to his school's prom next week with his best buddy, Ethan.  Well, the kid can wear his Dad's wedding suit!  No joke!  Actually, it's a touch big, so he's going with another jacket, shirt, and pant combination but ALL from Jared's closet!  I can't wait to be able to do that with Keturah!  Crazy big boy!

I think Benaiah's neck is thicker than Jard's though.

And yet, he's still 15 and crazy.

Practicing handstands! And no joke, Jared did it, too!  I've NEVER EVER EVER have seen him do a handstand before!  Weird to see a grown man do that!  I didn't get a picture of it because it happened too fast.

Daddies are great help for these kinds of situations.

After supper, the rain had FINALLY STOPPED and the SUN WAS OUT for the first time in like 10 days!  So, while the men got all the boxes out of the house, the others and I played around outside.  Justin was amazed at how Justin and Keturah could climb the tree.

Cute kids.

Aw.

Work, work, work.

Isn't she beautiful?

So, where's "Waldo?" aka Keturah?

Every kid should be able to climb trees!

Go, go, go!

Even Justin is big enough to help!

Grandpa and Grandma bought this trike for Benaiah he was 3.  I begged him NOT to put his full weight on it tonight because he most certainly would break it.  It's a very worn bike, but I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

My almost 9 year old big girl.

Poser! Actually, I think she's looking, sounding, acting, MUCH older these days.

I got the determined look of a man on camera!  Even big boys need to climb!

Wow, he looks like a man because he IS a man!

I want to try this tree, too!  But maybe another time because everyone wants to go inside now.

Finally cleaned out all the done boxes!
In the blink of an eye, Abishai had used Jared's knee and climbed up to the sink with OUT Jared's help!  Oh, and Abishai can correctly pronounce WET.  Even the "T!"

Piano keys make the perfect garage for cars.

I think a certain 2 year old has been here.
This is the before picture of the above "it's all out!" picture.  Again, why do we have all this stuff?  Do we really need it?  Hm,....

The men.

It looks like we're moving somewhere!

Run, don't walk, outside!  Mr. Sun has come back!  It's a miracle!  And as a friend said: where's the dove with an olive branch in their beak that indicates there's dry land after Noah's flood?  Because seriously, we have had so much rain!  I was afraid the garage had gotten wet, but thankfully, it doesn't look like it.  It makes me nervous to have cardboard boxes on the floor of the garage (or basement).

Abishai is interested in the trees' new leaves, but doesn't want to touch them.  Baby steps, literally!
Thank you, Robyn, and kids for coming over and helping today!  You kept us going all day!  Next up: the last regional Bible Bowl Round Robin for the year!  Can't wait to sit and listen to the kids all day, especially after a busy day today.  Good night!
