Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry....yup, tears before and after (I was way too busy during co op chasing a an over active toddler). Sigh. We said good-bye to our homeschool co op friends today. So bittersweet. Thankfully it was the last day for everybody because they are breaking for the summer as well. It was sad when they talked about having summer playdates and we won't be here. And yes, chasing Abishai these days is exhausting. He went from chasing a girl 6 months older than he, wanting to corner her just to hug her, to pulling books off shelves, to playing in the dirt of the plant, to wanting to ride around in his "throne" (i.e. the stroller) to eating Legos, to you name it, he's into it! I barely got to sit down all morning! He's like the Energizer bunny! But Justin got to spend some good time with his buddy Ethan and Keturah worked hard on her craft. Benaiah stays home because the kids are all younger than he is and he can work on his schoolwork in the peace and quiet. It was also hard to give all our library books back unread and not take anymore out. And my sweet friends are going to send us a care package that will be waiting for us when we get back to Indiana. It reminds me of some my other sweet friends sending us a care package here within the first few weeks of moving. As I get older, finding friends has been a tad easier, but it also makes it that much harder to leave.
Ok, ok, this blog is about the whole family, not just me. But, I think I can say it's hard for the kids, too. We hope to have lots of fun playdates and last trips to stores like Bulk Barn and Goji's in the next couple of weeks. And then it's off to our next adventure....I'm trying to dream big, because the world is huge, and who knows where we'll land. This is the J6 Journey, and what a journey it has been the last 4-5 years. Here's some sweet pictures for today.

My friend Michelle and her daughter Joelle, who is 6 months older than Abishai. They have a love/hate relationship, lol. |
We were missing one family today, but this is where we usually start our mornings. We meet at the library before they open for the day. |
Miss Emily giving her "Good morning, here's the plan for the day." speech. Today she had everyone pray for us and talked about bittersweet moments. |
Easy access to Lego, which he strewed across the library. |
Abishai keep cornering Joelle for a hug. |
We had a "banana" party! Justin wrote "No Name" on his banana because the store brand at our favorite store, No Frills, is called "No Name." |
Abishai on his throne. To sleep or not to sleep that is the question! |
My lighting is off, but here is Keturah's banana artwork. She made Noah's Ark with animals and glued it to a blue piece of paper for water! |
Then whoever wanted to eat their banana, could, only with some ice cream and toppings, all before lunchtime! Wahoo! The bowls that Miss Emily found at the dollar store where the cutest and included tiny spoons, too! |
Look at all those lovely faces! Not pictured are the Connors, who have 4 kids, for a total of 19 kids (including Benaiah and the babies) and 6 moms. |
Justin and his best friend Ethan. We find it interesting that Justin's two best friends are named David and Ethan and Benaiah's two best friends in Indiana are also David and Ethan! |
